ABOUT THE SACRAMENTO REGIONAL FAMILY JUSTICE CENTER
Established in 2016, the Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center brings together high-quality committed partners in a safe, collaborative center to provide integrated services to victims of domestic violence, elder abuse, human trafficking, sexual assault and child abuse.
The SRFJC offers comprehensive, survivor-driven services at no cost to victims, including counseling, safety planning, crisis intervention, lethality assessments; legal staff who assist in preparing temporary domestic violence restraining order petitions; services from our on-site health and wellness center; permanent and temporary housing; and support services to survivors of human trafficking.
Since its founding nine years ago, the Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center has supported nearly 40,000 victims on their path to healing and hope. We are part of the Family Justice Center Alliance which has been recognized as a best practice model by the U.S. Department of Justice.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT ROLE
The Director of Development is responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive fundraising strategy to advance the organization’s mission. Working closely with the CEO and the Board of Directors, the Director of Development develops fundraising goals and strategies that include major gifts, corporate and foundation giving, planned giving, and special events.
The successful candidate will have a personal commitment to our mission and will be an experienced fundraiser. They will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and be skillful at cultivating strong new and lasting relationships. As a member of the organization’s Executive team, the Director of Development will play a collaborative role in establishing and implementing the organization’s direction for the next several years.
RESPONSIBILIIES
Fundraising:

Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan to meet the organization’s annual revenue goals.

Lead all aspects of the fundraising cycle, including major gifts, grants administration, individual giving, planned giving, events, annual appeal, and external communications.

Maintain and maximize donor database management program.

Strategically identify, cultivate, solicit and steward donors and prospects through a variety of development strategies, including visits, proposals and events.

Maintain and grow relationships with existing donors.

Monitor and analyze fundraising data to evaluate performance and adjust strategies as needed.
External Communications & Outreach:

Oversee outreach efforts, including developing and managing outgoing communications (social media, website, newsletters etc.) and presenting / speaking about the organization in the community.

Ensure all external communications are clear, consistent, and aligned with the organization’s mission and values.

Work with the CEO to develop and implement a public relations strategy that builds brand awareness and ensures a clear, compelling, highly visible external presence.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Entrepreneurial spirit with a successful track record of 5 or more years of experience in nonprofit fundraising – including with major gifts and large-scale events.

Skillful at building strong new and lasting relationships, networking, and stewarding a portfolio of contacts.

Eagerness to set ambitious and tangible goals, and a relentless drive to achieve them.

Adept at leading communications and marketing across a broad array of channels, and the ability to serve as an ambassador for Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center.

Strong organizational skills, extremely careful attention to detail and follow-through.

Excellent project planning and project management skills.

Passionate about improving the lives of those impacted by interpersonal violence.

COMPENSATION
Salary range for this position is $85,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, The Sacramento Regional Family Justice Center offers a comprehensive benefits package.

ABOUT THE OPERATIONS MANAGER ROLE
Working closely with the CEO, the Operations Manager supports critical business and human resource work, ensuring the organization complies with all grant funding guidelines. They oversee technology, and provide critical project, event, and executive support. The successful candidate will have a personal commitment to our mission. They will demonstrate exceptional organizational and project management skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with complete discretion.

Process purchase requests for program staff / clients

Prepare accounts payable including coding and entering invoices, preparing checks, and obtaining appropriate approvals and signatures

Process and record bank payments

Track and reconcile use of credit cards

Support execution of the annual financial audit

Development & Grant Management

Support process of submitting grant packages

Complete and submit timely and accurate grant reporting

Oversee efficient and timely donor recognition

Manage and ensure all data in donor database is up to date

Human Resources Management

Oversee benefits administration including managing new employees, tracking employee changes, and updating payroll changes

Process new hires and staff exits

Maintain complete and accurate staff personnel files

Ensure compliant time and labor reporting

Serve as the point-person for all human resources-related communication with staff

Project & Event Management

Provide operational support for all organizational events, including but not limited to fundraising events; Board meetings; staff meetings; tours and visits; training; community events

IT Support

Oversee set-up and ongoing optimization of client and donor database (Salesforce)

Support executive leaders with outreach efforts, including managing social media, website, and other communication platforms

Serve as primary staff liaison with IT lead

Manage the distribution, maintenance and inventory of staff technology / equipment

Executive Support

Provide administrative support to executive leaders (e.g., phone calls, scheduling, calendar management)

Execute communication on behalf of and as directed by CEO

Write emails, letters, reports as requested

Prepare documents and reports for meetings

Support Board Secretary in preparation for Board of Directors meetings

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES, AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Experience: 4+ years of business, operations, executive support, event management, and operational excellence, preferably at a nonprofit organization.

Education: B.A.

Organization: extremely careful attention to detail and follow-through. Ability to create, monitor, and maintain systems that enhance organizational efficiency

Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Experience with QuickBooks and Salesforce is highly preferred

Time Management: Ability to handle multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.

Confidentiality & Discretion: High level of professionalism and ability to handle sensitive information with complete discretion.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to proactively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Project Management: Excellent project management skills; ability to execute projects, from conception to completion, with minimal supervision.
