MEET OUR TEAM
Our entire team is passionate about the work we do to assist victims who find themselves in dangerous and sometimes life-threatening situations. We are committed to working together with community partners to ensure that each and every person receives the help they need to move from danger and trauma to safety and hope!
Cristin Fiorelli
Chief Executive Officer
Cristin is a dynamic leader with 25 years’ experience founding, growing, and sustaining schools and non-profit organizations. Cristin’s mission-driven career began as a public-school teacher in Washington DC and Oakland, California. She went on to support teachers working in our nation’s most underserved schools and establish a public pre-kindergarten program in Sacramento’s Oak Park community. For the past twelve years Cristin served as Executive Director for Capitol Collegiate Academy, one of the region’s top performing charter schools. She leads with the fundamental belief that every individual and family deserve the opportunity to thrive. Cristin earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from The American University and a Master of Arts from Trinity University.
Joyce Bilyeu
Deputy Director
For more than 40 years, Joyce has dedicated her professional life to helping victims of domestic violence become survivors. In addition to her day-to-day work and supervision at the Center, she serves on the Domestic Violence Prevention Collaborative, the District Attorney’s Domestic Violence Death Review Team, and the National VOICES Committee of the Family Justice Center Alliance. She was instrumental in the development of the Sacramento region’s Domestic Violence Strangulation protocol and is a sought-after speaker and trainer.
Daniel Iritani
Director of Development
Born and raised in Sacramento, Daniel brings a wealth of development experience from a variety of organizations. Daniel spent six years working for Congressman Ami Bera, managing the fundraising for his reelection campaigns. Most recently, he went back to his alma mater, Santa Clara University, where he managed the fundraising and external relations for the College of Arts and Sciences. He is passionate about FJC’s mission and glad to be back in his home town serving the community.
Buddy
Community Comfort Dog
Buddy, a labradoodle, is perhaps the most beloved member of our team. He is a trained service dog and he offers a great deal of comfort to clients and staff alike. He greets visitors with a handshake and loves making friends and making people smile. He also gives the staff some extra love when they’ve had a hard day.
